DAY 2: HANOI – TRANG AN (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner included)
Morning:
After breakfast, depart for Trang An Landscape Complex – a UNESCO World Heritage Site often called “Ha Long Bay on land.”
Drift along gently flowing rivers on small sampan boats, passing through a network of 31 lakes and lagoons connected by 48 mystical caves, including Dia Linh, Sinh Duoc, and May Caves – natural masterpieces shaped by time and silence.
The peaceful rowing journey offers not only breathtaking scenery but also a moment to reconnect with nature and inner stillness.
Noon:
Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant, surrounded by limestone mountains and tranquil countryside views.
Afternoon:
Visit and offer incense at the King Dinh and King Le Temples, built on the ancient site of Hoa Lu Citadel. The temples follow the traditional “inner fortress – outer citadel” layout and honor King Dinh Tien Hoang, King Le Dai Hanh, and Queen Duong Van Nga — figures remembered for their devotion and leadership in the early days of Vietnam’s nationhood.
Their sacred resting places carry the quiet power of gratitude and reverence.
Evening:
Return to Hanoi, have dinner at a local restaurant, and rest at the hotel.
Overnight in Hanoi, the city where tradition and tranquility meet under the soft glow of the night.
DAY 3: HANOI – PERFUME PAGODA – HANOI
(Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner included)
Morning:
Begin the day with a buffet breakfast at the hotel. Depart for the Perfume Pagoda (Chùa Hương) — a sacred destination often referred to as “The First Cave under Heaven” (Nam Thiên Đệ Nhất Động).
Upon arrival at Bến Đức Wharf, embark on a gentle rowing boat trip along the poetic Yến Stream, where crystal-clear waters and emerald rice fields reflect the serenity of the northern countryside. The tranquil landscape and the rhythmic sound of the oars create a meditative moment of peace and harmony with nature.
Disembark at Thiên Trù Wharf and take a leisurely 15-minute walk to Thiên Trù Pagoda — also known as the “Kitchen of Heaven,” a place symbolizing warmth, nourishment, and spiritual renewal.
Noon:
Enjoy a local lunch amid the quiet countryside setting.
Afternoon:
Continue the pilgrimage to Hương Tích Cave, the spiritual heart of the Perfume Pagoda complex. Carved deep within limestone mountains, this sacred cave was once praised by Lord Trịnh Sâm as “The Most Beautiful Cave in the South.” Inside, discover sacred symbols from Buddhist legends — such as the Rice Heap, Girl Mountain, and Boy Mountain — each carrying profound meaning about fertility, abundance, and compassion.
As the day draws to a close, return by boat along the peaceful Yến Stream and transfer back to Hanoi.
Evening:
Dinner at a local restaurant.
Overnight in Hanoi, where the calm spirit of Chùa Hương lingers in each gentle breeze.
DAY 4: HANOI – HA TAY – HANOI
(Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner included)
Morning:
After breakfast, depart for Ha Tay Province to visit Thầy Pagoda, an ancient temple built in the unique architectural style of “Buddha in the front, Saint in the back.” This sacred site was once home to Zen Master Từ Đạo Hạnh, a revered figure known for his spiritual teachings and contributions to Vietnamese Buddhism.
